The Classic II school chair is a classic in Højer Møbler’s product range. The chair was originally designed for more than 20 years ago and has ever since been a popular choice for classrooms. For a number of years however, school chairs with plastic seats have pushed the chair out of the spotlight, but the new trends within interior design focusing on wooden/sustainable materials has breathed life into the design classic. The design of Classic II is still valid with the recognizable retro look and the chair is now relaunched with a few design adjustments and a modern base. The mix between wood and black metal gives the chair a minimalist expression and evokes memories of former rustic industrial chairs.

The design of the chair enables the pupils to sit backwards and hereby obtain a larger freedom and flexibility. The back rest of the chair can be tilted 180 degrees towards the back and in this way offers flexible resting positions. As a matter of fact, the number of different sitting positions seems to be infinite and the chair consequently meets Højer Møbler’s motto that the best sitting position is always the next. The back and seat are manufactured in press molded beech veneer with a friction lacquer coating on the seat to ensure a skidproof surface in order for the pupil to sit comfortably and safely on the chair.

Seat width: 37,5 cm Back width: 33 cm Back height: 19,5 cm Recommended table height with a L gas cylinder: 72-76 cm The seat depth is 39 cm as standard, but can be adjusted to the following seat depths:

Pre-paratory classes: 33 cm
Intermediate stage: 36 cm
Secondary stage: 39 cm (standard)

The seat depth can also be adjusted over time and with simple tools, if so desired. NOTE! If the seat is delivered with upholstery, the seat depth cannot be altered.

Back and seat in press molded beech veneer with a friction lacquer coating on the seat to ensure a skidproof surface in order for the pupil to sit comfortably and safely on the chair. The chair can be placed in Højer Møbler’s supports for chairs, which are mounted under the tabletop.

All parts of the Classic II chair can be replaced or easily recycled making it a safe choice for a sustainable future. As a resolute proof that we mean this seriously and that we believe in a long-term commitment, the chair is covered by Højer Møblers 20 year warranty.

Frame

Powder-coated pipe frame with black structural lacquer. Classic II is available with different gas cylinders, so the chair can easily be adapted to different age groups or table heights.
