Environmental Management System

We work purposefully towards reducing our environmental impact, right from when a piece of furniture begins its journey from a raw material through production and until it is recycled. This is enforced through our environmental management system.

FSC® certified wood

As a FSC® certified company, Højer Møbler A / S commits itself to separating FSC® materials and materials from other sources in production and storage. Højer Møbler A/S ensures that our products and components throughout the supply chain maintain traceability certification ie. All links in the supply chain must be FSC® certified. This process is checked annually by an independent certification company. We are currently working to change our production, so all our self-manufactured products with wooden components are developed with FSC® certified wood.

FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) is an international non-profit labeling organization, for labeling wood and paper. In a FSC®-forest, there will not be harvested more trees than the forest can reproduce in due time. FSC® is an assurance that animal and plantlife is being protected, and that the people working in the forest are educated and get proper safety equipment and pay.
